INSURANCE AND RE-INSURANCE
International trade and commerce entails risks which are too high to bear by any one company. Some of these risks can be shared by co-investment (where money is spent essentially before it is known whether a risk occurs); other risks can be reduced by use of instruments of insurance and re-insurance (where money is essentially spent after a risk has occurred). As a result, insurance is part of the (international) business life where the clients of BRÖDERMANN & JAHN are operative.
BRÖDERMANN & JAHN has been acting as a legal advisor on the international and national insurance market for several years. BRÖDERMANN & JAHN has advised insurance companies and brokers in company, antitrust and insurance law. Furthermore it is assisting international companies in negotiations, litigation and arbitration against insurers.
The insurance law team of BRÖDERMANN & JAHN includes Dr. Erhard Jahn who has been advising insurance companies and brokers for over 20 years, Dr. Eckard von Bodenhausen who is experienced in international insurance law and Dr. Eckart Brödermann who has been familiar with insurance law since his studies with Judge Keeton at Harvard University.
